Frequently Asked Questions
WHY CHOOSE THIS ONLINE COURSE?
Our online course is unique because it is Wisconsin based. Many of the available courses are from other states with generic information because they are covering many states they can’t be specific to Wisconsin laws and conditions. Some courses will have you reading long pages of text or writing assignments and reports. Our course is live action video (we recorded actual class sessions) with questions between the sections to check your understanding. The questions are all True/False and Multiple Choice with unlimited tries to get the correct answer. You can sign out and take a break at any time and be returned to the exact same place when you return.
HOW DO I ENROLL IN YOUR PROGRAM?
If you are at least 14 years and 6 months old, you can enroll online by clicking on any of the links on this website which will take you to the registration form. Once you have completed the form you and your parent will receive an email “Signature Required”. Once you have both submitted the Enrollment Agreement you will have access to the course sessions.
IS THERE FINANCIAL AID FOR DRIVER EDUCATION?
Yes. Some Wisconsin teens may qualify for the Wisconsin Driver Education Grant Program, a state program created under Wisconsin Act 86 that helps eligible families pay for teen driver education. When funding is available, the grant can cover 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons, and 6 hours of in-car observation at Trident Drivers School for qualifying 14.5 – 18 year olds.
To qualify, families must meet income guidelines similar to those used for free or reduced-price school lunch, and teens must apply at the Wisconsin DOT website and be approved before enrolling in any driver education program. If you are approved, you will receive coupon codes that Trident uses to apply the grant to your tuition.
WHAT ABOUT THE TUITION GUARANTEE?
If you complete the course and do not pass the Final Exam you can apply for a 100% refund of your tuition. We can cancel a grant coupon, however, we cannot provide a cash/credit refund.
