Who We Are
James Fischer Director
Mr. Fischer graduated from the Wisconsin State University System in 1969 with a degree in Education. He did graduate work in Traffic Safety at University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
He began teaching Driver Ed in the public schools in 1970 and expanded his work to training students in private driving schools in 1973. He has taught in most of the major cities in the state, He started Trident Drivers School in 1980 and also taught in the Milton School District from 1982 to 2004. Over the course of the last 50+ years he has taught over 15,000 students having logged almost a million miles on the road in a driver training car.
In addition to his Instructor’s License he is certified by the Department of Transportation as an Instructor Trainer. He also holds a Commercial Drivers License and has experience in interstate trucking.
In sharing his wide range of experience he has presented seminars at the national conference of the North American Professional Driver Education Association and is a consultant to the American Driver Education Resource Center

Trident Drivers School
Trident Drivers School opened in 1980 in Janesville Wisconsin on South Academy Street. In 1995 we expanded to the Walworth County area with an office and classroom in Elkhorn. We have successfully trained over 15,000 students many of whom report to us when the bring their son or daughter to our school that they have maintained an excellent driving record. We are a family-owned and operated driving school. We pride ourselves in our reputation for providing for high-quality driver’s education at a great price.
